Dr. Linda's Biography


Linda Haack-Rogers, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist (#PSY12334) in private practice in San Diego's North County Inland area. She has been in practice since 1987. Dr. Haack-Rogers is the co-founder of "POS. EFFECT "(Positive Effectiveness). The company consults with child development and educational organizations, businesses, high performance athletes and families providing trainings, seminars and workshops in areas of human potential. She is also the clinical supervisor for South Bay Youth & Family Services clinic and the National City Family Resource Center education-based counseling services. Dr. Haack-Rogers supervises clinical staff and graduate students in psychology. She has put on a number of workshops with her husband, John Carlton Rogers and on her own in areas of children's behavior, staff related issues including team building, sport psychology, personal growth and communication. Dr. Haack-Rogers has written a number of articles for various publications including Golf Digest Magazine, San Diego Magazine- online edition and San Diego Children's Resource Directory. Dr. Haack-Rogers received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from United States International University, San Diego Campus in 1990. Dr. Haack-Rogers is currently licensed with the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. She is also certified through the American Psychological Association of Professional Psychology with a Certificate of Proficiency in the Treatment of Alcohol and Other Psychoactive Substance Use Disorders and she is certified in Domestic Violence with the American Forensic Association. As a sport psychology expert, Dr. Haack-Rogers has worked with amateur and professional athletes in a variety of sport settings. Dr. Haack-Rogers is an accomplished figure skater, having skated competitively as a child and coached as an adult. She has conducted workshops at various coaches' conventions, National Championships and Olympic Training Camps. She has conducted research in the area of Fear of Failure and Fear of Success as well as Learning Styles. Clinical areas of interest for Dr. Haack-Rogers include psychological and interpersonal health and wellness within families, couples, individuals and children. Other areas include sport psychology, team building, co-parenting within divorced families and children's issues, victims of crimes and critical incident debriefing. Dr. Haack-Rogers is interested in spreading information and knowledge to the community on issues in psychology. Dr. John Biography


John C. (Jack) Rogers is the Director of a San Diego County community counseling program working with high-risk youth and families. He works extensively with educators, law enforcement and community agencies to provide wrap-around resources and interventions for families. For nearly 20 years, Mr. Rogers has provided counseling services for youth and families in a variety of settings: from community-based to locked facilities. He has a strong background in program and community development working to create expansive support services for the neighborhood. Additionally, Mr. Rogers has consulted for various organizations and businesses developing employee-management dynamics and effective communications. Mr. Rogers sits on various community, county and state boards relating to youth and family health and development. He also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at a local university. An alumnus of UCLA (B.A. in Psychology) and Kansas State University (M.S. in Family & Child Development), Mr. Rogers is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Psychology finishing his research on sexually abused children. He is married and has two beautiful children.
